Terms and Conditions

Service Agreement

By engaging Wellies & Paws for pet care services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. 

These terms constitute a binding agreement between you (the "Client") and Wellies & Paws (the "Service Provider").

1. Service Booking and Cancellation

1.1 Booking

• All bookings must be made in advance by telephone, email or WhatsApp 
• A meet and greet must be arranged before any service commence 
• Regular booking slots are subject to availability 
• We reserve the right to decline service for any reason

1.2 Cancellation Policy

• 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellation of any scheduled service 
• Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) will be charged at full rate 
• No-shows will be charged at full rate 
• Should any dog become aggressive or dangerous, the Walker may terminate this dog walking contract with immediate effect 
• Any wrongful or misleading information in the Pet and Client’s information sheets may constitute a breach of terms of this Dog Walking Contract and be grounds for instant termination thereof 
• Should Wellies and Paws take annual leave, the client will be given a minimum of 14 days’ notice

2. Health and Safety

2.1 Pet Requirements

• All pets must be up to date with vaccinations 
• Dogs must be wearing a collar with ID tag 
• Dogs must be treated regularly for fleas and worms 
• Any aggressive behaviour must be disclosed before service begins

2.2 Emergency Care

In the event of a medical emergency, we will: 
• Contact you immediately 
• Transport your pet to the designated veterinary clinic if necessary 
• Follow your emergency care instructions as provided

3. Service Delivery

3.1 Walking Services

• Standard walks are 30 or 60 minutes (depending on your agreement) 
• Maximum of 6 dogs per group walk 
• Weather-appropriate adjustments may be made 
• Routes may vary based on safety and conditions

3.2 Home Visits

• Standard visits are 30 or 60 minutes (depending on your agreement) 
• Keys must be provided for access 
• Home security procedures will be followed

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Dog Walking

• Full payment is due a maximum of 7 days after the service has been provided. 
• Full payment is to be made by either bank transfer or cash. A late payment fee of 2.5% will be added to the agreed daily fee for each day the payment is not made. 
• Prices are subject to periodic review and change

4.2 Pet Services

• Payment is required before or at the time of service 
• Prices are subject to periodic review and change

4.3 Bitch in Season

• The client acknowledges that if the dog is a female and is 'in season', it may not be appropriate or safe to walk her during this time. Wellies & Paws agrees not to take the dog on walks during her season to ensure her health, safety, and comfort.
• The client agrees to notify the walker immediately upon the dog entering season. This should indicate any relevant dates or duration of the season to help schedule future walks accordingly.
• If the dog is in season, the Client and the Walker can come to an agreement to offer alternative services, such as gardenpotty breaks and indoorgarden playtime. 

5. Insurance and Liability

Wellies & Paws maintains comprehensive insurance coverage for dog walking and pet care services. 
• We are not liable for pre-existing health conditions 
• We are not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen equipment during the provided service. 
• We are not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or sickness incurred to your dog(s) whilst in the care of Wellies & Paws. 
• We accept no liability for any breach of security or loss or damage to the owner’s property if any other person has access to the property during the term of this agreement. 
• The client is solely responsible for any harm or damage caused by your dog(s) whilst under the care of Wellies & Paws, and you agree to indemnify Wellies & Paws in full against any liability arising from such harm or damage to third parties. 
• Wellies & Paws is released from all liability related to transporting dog(s) to and from any veterinary clinic or kennel, the medical treatment of the dog(s) and the expense thereof. 
• The client acknowledges that the transport of the pet in a vehicle is undertaken at the client’s own risk and releases Wellies & Paws from all liability for any loss, injury, or damage to the pet during transportation.

Security

Wellies & Paws warrants to keep safe and confidential all keys, remote control entry devices, access codes and personal information of the Client at the end of the contract period or immediately upon demand.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal information will not be shared with anyone under the Data Protection Act of 1998 and the General Data Protection Act of 2018. This includes: 
• Contact information 
• Pet health records 
• Emergency contact details 
• Service history

7. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be: 
• Posted on the website 
• Notified to clients via email 
• Effective immediately for new clients 
• Effective after 30 days for existing clients
